Two Tracks. One Ecosystem.
MPCQ governance operates on two parallel tracks — protocol governance for MPCQ stakers and infrastructure governance for EMD stakers — with a progressive decentralization path from team-led recommendations to algorithmic optimization.
Dual-Track Governance
Protocol Governance (MPCQ Stakers)
MPCQ stakers govern protocol-level parameters: fee distribution percentages, validator commission caps, IBC channel management, and protocol upgrades. Voting power is proportional to staked MPCQ.
Infrastructure Governance (EMD Stakers)
EMD stakers govern the DePIN reward parameters: reward rates for each resource type, quality thresholds for provider participation, and Green Infrastructure Fund allocation. This creates a governance constituency specifically incentivized to grow the physical infrastructure layer.
Progressive Decentralization
From Foundation to Autonomy
- 01
Phase 1 (Current)
Core team provides parameter recommendations; governance votes ratify or reject.
- 02
Phase 2 (12 months)
Parameter proposals open to any staker meeting a minimum threshold.
- 03
Phase 3 (24 months)
Full on-chain governance with automated execution of approved proposals.
- 04
Phase 4 (36 months)
Algorithmic governance optimization where the protocol automatically adjusts parameters based on network conditions and governance signals.
